  An injection into the space around the spinal nerves in the neck or lower back, placed under live X-ray (fluoroscopy).

• Radiofrequency ablation

  Uses heat to turn down the small nerves that carry pain signals from the joints of the spine.

• Nerve blocks

  Targeted injections that numb specific nerves. They can also help pinpoint where the pain is coming from.

• Joint injections

  Injections into painful joints, including image-guided sacroiliac (SI) joint injections.

Every procedure has risks and benefits and isn't right for everyone. We'll go over those and your other options, including non-procedure care, before anything is scheduled.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

1. You'll sit down with one of our physicians or advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) and talk through where it hurts, what's already been tried, and what you want to get back to doing.
2. We'll do a focused exam and look at any imaging you already have.
3. You leave with a plan. That might be a procedure, more testing, or another option, and we'll explain why.

Bring your insurance card, a referral if your plan requires one, and any recent imaging reports.
